Leaving a Lasting Legacy

Giving Tuesday December 1

What Can I Support on Giving Tuesday?

Your Church's Endowment - Many churches have an endowment that supports a variety of ministries. Through an endowment, the church helps ensure its financial health and the stability of its mission and outreach for future generations.

A Ministry's Endowment - An endowment is vital to the ministry of many camps, campus ministries, and organizations. The Foundation cares for the endowment funds of many ministries and organizations across Kansas.

Pathways for Discipleship Grants - Each year Pathways for Discipleship Grants support the work and ministry of churches and organizations across Kansas in the areas of: Children and Youth Programs, Ministry and Outreach, and Leadership Education.

KAUMF Seminary Scholarships - The Seminary Scholarship Fund of the Kansas Area United Methodist Foundation provides scholarships for ministerial students who are attending a theological school and working toward ordination in the Great Plains Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Pass the Torch Seminary Scholarships - The Pass the Torch Scholarship is sponsored by the Great Plains Association of Retired Clergy and Spouses (GPARCS) to assist certified candidates for ministry with their educational expenses. Since the founding of the scholarship in 1991, more than $92,000 has been awarded in scholarships to support women and men called by God who will be pursuing their seminary or Course of Study education.

How Can I Support an Endowment?

Gifts can be made directly to an endowment fund online through Paypal, click here to give online, or by mailing a check to the Foundation's Office. If you would like to give through a stock transfer or other resource, please contact the Foundation directly at 620-664-9623 or foundation@kaumf.org

Why Support an Endowment Fund?

Through supporting an endowment fund, you are making a gift to impact lives now, and for future generations. Endowment funds that are held at the Foundation, distribute 4% of a three-year rolling average to support ministry now and allow continued growth to sustain ministry in the future.
