The Kansas Area United Methodist Foundation is honored to support Kansas churches and organizations through the Pathways for Discipleship Grants. Matching grants are awarded to churches and organizations to advance ministries across our state, especially in ways that are creative, innovative, and new. 

Pathways for Discipleship Grants
Due September 1 

 

The Kansas Area United Methodist Foundation, Inc. is proud to administer scholarship programs established by United Methodist donors and agencies for the benefit of United Methodist students. These scholarships support the dreams and gifts of talented young Christian leaders.

KAUMF Seminary Scholarship 
Due July 31 for Fall Semester and January 8 Spring Semester

The Kansas Area United Methodist Foundation Seminary Scholarship was established by the Kansas West Conference with the goal of raising $4 million to help seminary student graduate debt free. 

Pass the Torch 
Due April 1

The Pass the Torch Scholarship is sponsored by the Great Plains Association of Retired Clergy and Spouses (GPARCS) to assist certified candidates for ministry with their educational expenses. Since the founding of the scholarship in 1991, more than $86,000 has been awarded in scholarships to support women and men called by God who will be pursuing their seminary or Course of Study education. 

 

The Foundation offers a clergy continuing education scholarship so that clergy from the Great Plains Conference of the United Methodist Church may sustain their dedication to being lifelong learners to impact their local communities.

The Reverend Paul F. Holmes Memorial Scholarship
The Reverend Paul F. Holmes Memorial Scholarship Fund was established with the Kansas Area United Methodist Foundation to provide continuing education scholarships for clergy members of the Great Plains Conference of the United Methodist Church for the purpose of enabling intensive study of longer than usual duration, such as sabbatical leaves and major educational experiences.
